Matsui Umeshu Whisky Liqueur marries two Japanese traditions from the Kurayoshi Distillery of Matsui Shuzo in Tottori Prefecture. Umeshu, the plum liqueur made by steeping ume fruit, is blended with Matsui's Japanese whisky for a liqueur that keeps the luscious sweetness of the plum while adding the depth and gentle oak of whisky. Each sip reveals ripe plum sweetness and a tart edge complemented by subtle smokiness and oak-aged whisky notes, with a smooth, rounded finish. Serve it well chilled or over ice, top it with soda for a Japanese-style highball, or stir it into a whisky sour for a plum twist. It also pairs beautifully with dessert. This 750ml bottle is a refined take on umeshu and a great gift for anyone who loves Japanese flavors.
